Таинственная горная Дигория — самая изолированная, западная часть Северной Осетии. Дигорское ущелье называют самым красивым и самым удаленным от северо-осетинской столицы – Владикавказа. Именно там находится один из самых охраняемых заповедных уголков республики – национальный парк «Алания», таящий немало сюрпризов. Здесь можно увидеть и легендарный каньон Ахсинта, и живописные водопады, и заповедную долину реки Билагидон, и памятник природы Мадзаски Цада, и древний Галиат – полузаброшенное селение с многовековой историей.
